Video Game Systems I've owned with best memories. (In order of console owned)

    1. Atari 7800: Was backwards compatible with 2600 games which at time were cheap. Parents brought home games by the bag full lol. Favorite game was pole position.
    2. NES: Where real love for gaming began. Still remember grinding for level ups/weapons in Final Fantasy before going into the marsh cave.
    3. Sega Genesis: Altered Beast and Sonic 2.
    4. Super Nintendo: All time favorite system. Only "retro" system I kept and still own.
    5. Sega CD: Dupped by the hype. Sewer Shark and Dragon's Lair were fun for the first 30 min...
    6. Genesis 32x: Last time I would allow Sega to fool me. Refused to get Dreamcast, Saturn, or anything Sega after this.
    7. Playstation 1: Final Fantasy 7. Still remember playing Madden in weekly college tournaments. Ahhh, Madden before online...
    8. Nintendo 64: Few games, but some of the best in gaming history. Mario 64 & Golden Eye 007.
    9. Playstaion 2: . First system I played football online, even though it was mainly NCAA.
    10. GameCube: Windwaker still is my favorite Zelda game. Overall, an 'ok' system.
    11. Wii: Least favorite Nintendo System. Some great games (Mario Galaxy) but too few games to keep my attention.
    12. Xbox 360: Was my system of choice this generation. JRPG Lost Odyssey, Western RPG Kingdom of Amalur, and the best versions of Madden. Oh, and achievements. Still don't get why Nintendo doesn't implement a system-wide achievments system.
    13. PS3: God Of War 3 was cool. But exclusives I felt were not good enough to distinguish it from 360 which repeatedly had better versions even with supposedly worse tech than PS3.
    14. Wii U: At time of this original post (5/8/13). Owned Nintendo Land, Super Mario U, Assassins Creed 3, Trine 2, Madden 13 (which has been my game of choice), Lego City Undercover, and Injustice Gods Amomg Us (which has been taken my attention as of late). Despite its slow start, with the announced lineup of upcoming Nintendo games, believe this system will turn out to be one of Nintendo's best. Wii started off fast and ended up slow. Wii U started slow, but if Nintendo doesn't mess up anymore, will excel.

*Also owned handhelds: Gameboy, Sega Gamegear, Nintendo DS, Sony PSP, and Nintendo 3DS

Here are the consoles I have owned:

    1. NES: Was born in 1982, so this is where my love for video games began. Still remember getting up early on school days to play Mario Bros.
    2. Sega Genesis: I bought it used from a friend, and it came with Golden Axe when I got it. It was a fun game, but one of my favorite Sega games was NBA Live '96 (Loved the fact that they secretly added my fav legends like Jordan). Also the slow-mo dunks on the old Live games were great.
    3. Super Nintendo: I loved all of the rpgs on SNES, ranging from Chrono Trigger to Earthbound (I am pumped for Earthbound to come to the Wii U virtual console).
    4. Nintendo 64: Loved Golden Eye 007 and also liked a few of the Star Wars games (Rogue Squadron and Shadows of the Empire).
    5. Playstation 1: First system that I really started enjoying football games (It is funny how realistic I thought they looked back then lol). Also big fan of FF7 and 8.
    6. GameCube: Loved Mario Kart: Double Dash, and Zelda Windwaker. Also not ashamed to admit I played Animal Crossing pretty heavily with my niece.
    7. Playstation 2: Played Kingdom Hearts, GTA, and some Madden.
    8. Wii: Have a family, and it seemed like the most family friendly system. Had fun playing Wii Sports, and also enjoyed playing the Lego games with my oldest daughter. Loved all the Nintendo titles.
    9. Xbox 360: Bought it to have a more adult system for myself. Didn't seem to play it as much as I thought I would (was a good system), so traded it in and got the kids Skylanders on the Wii.
    10. WiiU: Bought it for a few reasons: First, the reason I got it was the reason I got rid of the 360 (being able to play on the controller and free up the TV for the fam is a big plus). Second, the Nintendo exclusives.

I also own/owned a few handhelds: Gameboy Color, Gameboy Advance SP, Nintendo DS, Nintendo 3DS

I am now primarily a PC gamer, but I still enjoy my consoles.

Wow. I've played or owned almost every game you mentioned. Yeah, the Wii U's gamepad screen definitely helps when my wife or kids want to use the TV.
